A Utica College student is arraigned after being accused of making threats made toward the campus.

Authorities said 23-year-old Fahrudin Omerovic is facing four counts of making a terroristic threat.

Omerovic is currently taking online classes at the college. Investigators said he made the threats using a voice over internet application, which hides the person's actual phone number.

Those threats sparked a 6 hour lockdown on the Utica College Campus, which also impacted many surrounding school districts Monday.

City Leaders said it was important to bring closure to the campus community.

"It was taxing for everyone that was involved, but more importantly, the family members that were going through the ordeal,” said Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri.

The suspect is being held on $100,000 cash bail. He is due back in court Wednesday morning.
