Syracuse police have arrested two men in connection with the New Year’s Day fight at a local bar that left seven people stabbed.
Sedeke Safford, 37, and Justin Wright, 33, were both taken into custody earlier in the week.
Police say they were involved in a large fight at Cougars Bar on Butternut Street in the early morning hours of January 1.
Seven people were stabbed during the fight, but none of their injuries were life-threatening.
The bar did end up having its liquor license suspended a few weeks after the incident.
Both suspects have been charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Police say the investigation is still ongoing and more arrests are possible. Anyone with information is asked to give them a call at (315) 442-5222.
