One local congressman is reacting to the release of the memo, saying America deserves more information out there.

Congressman Tom Reed was in Dundee Friday talking to a class of students.

Afterward, he discussed his feelings about the controversial memo.

Reed wants the democrats to release their own memo as well, saying the more transparent the investigation is, the better.

"Sunshine is a powerful tool to address these concerns,” said Reed. “I would say to them join us in making sure that if this is an abuse, which I believe it is, that we work together to make sure it doesn't happen ever again to another American citizen or a political candidate of whatever party you may be associated with."

Reed went on to say that accountability for intelligence agencies could be a positive step forward.
