BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. -- Helping Central New Yorkers fight cancer was the goal of the 6th annual Hops for Hope fundraiser Thursday.

The event held at Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Baldwinsville featured beer sampling, guided tours, live music, and raffles.

Money raised goes to the American Cancer Society, to help give patients access to quality health care, and lifesaving screenings.

"The American Cancer Society is in the corner of everybody. They're doing research, they're funding research, they're there for patients, they're there for their families, if you have a situation where a cancer pops up in your family, the American Cancer Society is there for you,” said Jason Gebhardt, the Hops for Hope chairman.

The event raised more than $20,000.
