FORT DRUM -- More than 100 soldiers returned to Fort Drum following a nine-month deployment in Eastern Europe. The Falcon Brigade was conducting aviation operations throughout the continent to stregthen relationships with allies.

Families eagerly waited during the brief ceremony on Wednesday to be reunited with their soldiers.

“You get so excited; it’s like before your wedding day and you feel everything all at once and you’ve waited so long. It’s happy. I can’t even articulate what it feels like and when you have to say it out loud, everything happens," said Areka Schwartz, an Army spouse.
