ONEIDA, N.Y. -- A teen accused of stabbing an Oneida man to death has pleaded guilty.

Jordan Warner, 17, along with his co-defendant Issac Cantu, are accused of killing 35-year-old Francis Boransky last September.

Warner was the only defendant to appear in Madison County Court Tuesday morning. He pleaded guilty to second degree assault, which satisfied all other charges against him. Warner and Cantu were initially charged with second degree murder, first degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

The Madison County District Attorney's office says it is proceeding ahead with the case against Cantu, which is expected to be presented to a grand jury in the coming days.

Prosecutors say Warner is cooperating against his co-defendant. As part of the agreement, he is expected to serve four years in prison.
