REDFIELD, N.Y. -- It's the sound heard 'round Oswego County: snowmobiles revving up.

"Gets my heart beating, blood pressure raising. I love it," Pennsylvania resident Jerry Orazzi said.

On a day drivers stayed home, snowmobilers came out by the hundreds. Starting their engines early, they came out to take advantage of a snow-filled day.

"We came here at 3 in the morning just to ride," Pennsylvania resident Seth Dippel said.

And thanks to Mother Nature's fury, it's mission accomplished.

"And we just rode and rode and rode," Dippel said. "It's been real."

Riders came from all over -- some as near as their hometown, some as far as Pennsylvania. On a day like this, no trip is too long for trails this good.

"They're perfect, actually, really deep," Dippel said. "I don't know, just really nice riding today."

There was enough snow for every rider to find.

"We've seen probably about 100 today; a lot of people coming out to enjoy the snow," Orazzi said. "I love it. I absolutely love it."
