New developments as a town supervisor takes a leave of absence, part of the fallout from an eavesdropping investigation in Geddes.
Earlier this month, 56-year-old Ellen Colelli was charged with felony eavesdropping. State Police say she used equipment inside the town office building to unlawfully listen to town employees. That led to Wednesday night's meeting.
Town supervisor Manny Falcone announced that he would temporarily step down as the investigation continues. The public session that lasted less than a minute came after the town board met in executive session for more than 45 minutes. He would not comment after the meeting, and none of the town board members would comment either.
Falcone has not been charged as part of the investigation. No timetable for the next steps in the process has been discussed.
