SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Crouse Hospital's Breast Health Center is getting a new name, in honor of a former physician.
The center is now named after former Crouse plastic surgeon, Dr. Hadley Falk.
The building officially became the Falk Breast Health Center with a ceremony and ribbon cutting, Thursday.
The center was named to thank Falk, who passed away a year ago and left most of his estate to the Crouse Health Foundation.
The foundation says Falk did many reconstruction surgeries for breast cancer patients and was involved in a number of breast cancer awareness organizations.
"His good work will continue through his support, and we're very gratified and very honored to have the Falk name associated with our breast health center," said Carrie Verse, Crouse Health Foundation president.
The Falk Breast Health Center does mammograms, imaging and annual exams for women.
