SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Le Moyne men's lacrosse team made their school proud by bringing home the national championship, and now they're getting the recognition they deserve.

The college hosted an on-campus celebration Friday that highlighted the team's great accomplishment.

The team was able to claim the title victory over Limestone, the same team that beat them in the finals just one year ago.

Not only did they win the Division-II championship, they did it in style, with a perfect 20-0 record.

And it's a reflection of the great talent from across the Upstate area.

"I mean when you look at our roster, top to bottom, it's filled with Liverpool guys, ESM guys, guys from Buffalo, Albany area," senior goalkeeper Alex Krawec said. "So, to bring that trophy home to Central new York is something special. I think it hits home winning here than it would anywhere else. The lacrosse community here is heads and heels better than anywhere in the country. I'll say that right now."

This year's seniors had the chance to play in three national championship games, and took home two titles.
