State police say the victim in a deadly crash in Sylvan Beach, was just a teenager.
The crash happened around 5 a.m. Sunday.
State police say the driver, 18-year-old; Tyler Sharron of Rome, was seen speeding northbound on Vienna Road.
When police tried to stop the vehicle, they say the driver sped off. By the time the troopers caught up to the vehicle, it had crashed into a tree.
Sharron was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the vehicle had been stolen from a Sylvan Beach residence.
The crash is still under investigation.
