POLAND, N.Y. -- Members of the Poland Fire Department are still working on getting things back to normal after a fire ignited in their building Sunday.

A rescue truck caught fire. The building and firefighting equipment were damaged. A water pipe burst and put the fire out, but the damage was already done.

The truck that caught on fire is worth more than $100,000. Nearby residents tried to help the first responders, and area agencies also came to help.

As of Monday, Poland Fire Department's coverage area was in the hands of other fire departments.

Members are waiting to have the building checked out by officials before bringing their trucks and equipment back in. One member told Time Warner Cable News they're hoping to have their vehicles and gear back within the next few days.
