ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- A Rochester police car was involved in a crash on Genesee Street Sunday night.

Police say a squad car was at the intersection of Genesee Street and Sawyer Street around 10:30 p.m. with its lights and siren on responding to a call. That's when they say a car turned into the path of the police car, causing it to hit another car and a pole.

The officer was taken to Highland Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the car was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way and having an unrestrained child in the back seat.
