GENESEO, N.Y. -- The investigation has wrapped up into the cause of the fire that gutted a building in downtown Geneseo last week.

Livingston County Office of Emergency Management said the blaze was electrical and ruled accidental. The fire started on the interior of the back wall of the Main Street building. Flames wrecked a number of apartments and first floor businesses including Kelly's Saloon, which had been in business since the late 1970s. The remnants of the building will have to be demolished.

A Facebook page connected with Kelly's thanked first responders and stated that owners will work to rebuild. A fundraising site has also been set up to help rebuild Kelly's.
