It was 2.5 miles of hard work rewarded with lots and lots of foam.

For many runners, the Bubble Blast Run 2015 was another opportunity to spend time with family. And all the money raised supports ACR Health's youth programs, allowing them to go into schools and talk to students about making healthy and positive choices.

"It also goes to our Q-Center, our Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender youth center," said Carrie Large, the director of development at ACR Health. "It helps the kids become who they are and really feel confident in themselves. And we have support programs and computers from the David Bonet Center which helps them do tutoring, finish high school and hopefully make it through college."

This was the run's second year at the Great New York State Fair. Since then, the course has changed. in 2014 it only went through the orange parking lot. Now, it goes throughout the fairgrounds.

"We were actually kind of worried because we didn't know where the race was gonna be," said Shawn Kanaley, who traveled from Sodus with her daughters for the race. "But it nice that it goes through the whole fair and the fair's onlookers are cheering you on."

Organizers say the new route gives them a bigger platform to show people what ACR Health is all about, especially when it comes to supporting the Q-Center's LGBT youth.

"We still have a battle," said Large. "We still have kids we are serving that are self harming because people aren't accepting them.So we are still doing the fight for them. We are telling them that they are a good person and to be the best person they can for this community.
