LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. -- A body was discovered in the Barge Canal in Little Falls. The body of a white male was spotted around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday morning just west of Lock 17.
It was found by a canal corporation employee, and identified as 48-year-old Ernest C. Hoke Jr. of Herkimer.
The body was removed from the water and officials are waiting on autopsy results.
