The lockdown at the maximum-security Auburn Correctional Facility was lifted Friday after a week-long investigation at the prison.
The Department of Corrections says escape plans were found inside the prison, causing the lockdown to go into place. That led investigators to begin a complete search of the prison to assure the "safety and security" of the jail.
Officials said they will not be releasing the identity of the person who is connected to the escape plans at this time.
