UTICA, N.Y. -- There are some beautiful new apartments are available for rent in Utica's Humphrey Gardens.
The new buildings are an expansion of the existing Humphrey Gardens affordable housing development.
The $2 million project is part of an ongoing effort by the mayor to meet the need for more affordable housing options.
"In terms of the impact that it has upon people, I can only reflect what I said in my remarks upon Arthur Davis -- who is one of our new residents and after he looked at the unit he said, 'I never thought I'd have the privilege to live in a condominium,'" said
Robert Calli, the Municipal Housing Authority interim executive director.
In addition, they also built a new management office, resident center and computer lab.
