This weekend on In Focus, we’re getting a jump on all this Irish ahead of Saint Patrick's Day weekend.

Marisa Jacques sits down with Tim Flanagan, chairman of the Board of Directors for the Buffalo Irish Center. The Center is a family affair for Flanagan. His parents are founding members and he attended his first Civic Luncheon at 2 months old. Flanagan calls the luncheon a time for local politicians and business owners to celebrate their Irish heritage and support the Irish Center. It's an opportunity to raise money for the not for profit.

The Buffalo Irish Center celebrates Irish culture all year long, but this time of year marks a month of special events. It culminates with a mass and Irish breakfast on March 17. Home to over a dozen Irish organizations, the Buffalo Irish Center offers everything from Irish dance classes to language lessons to a full bar and restaurant.
