This weekend on In Focus, we’re talking about how to keep you and your family healthy as we enter flu and RSV season.
JoDee Kenney sits down with Assemblymember John McDonald, who is also a pharmacist. McDonald said November is often the last month to get vaccinated for flu and RSV before cases see their typical rise in December. Older New Yorkers and very young children are the most susceptible to severe cases of these respiratory illnesses, and McDonald said everyone eligible should receive their flu and COVID-19 vaccinations each year. In addition, McDonald said he will continue to push for changes to New York’s vaccination registry system. Every New Yorker and health care provider, he said, would benefit from a more complete history of vaccinations.
