We talked with Assemblymember Pamela Hunter this weekend on In Focus. She sat down with JoDee Kenney to discuss legislation protecting pets and pet owners. As a rescue dog owner, Hunter said she supports legislation like a bill regulating pet insurance, which has yet to be delivered to Gov. Kathy Hochul for a signature. Not all plans are alike, Hunter said, and in addition to disclosures on what is covered, the state should also ensure consumers aren’t taken advantage of with premiums.
