SPECTRUM NEWS VIDEO: During his years in office, Assemblyman William Magnarelli has done a lot to honor and pay tribute to area veterans. This Veteran’s Day he discussed the importance of showing how much we care about those who have served.

Magnarelli says Americans owe veterans a debt of gratitude, and that the majority of people want to help them.

The the CNY Veteran’s Parade and Expo at the state fairgrounds has been in existence for 11 years, and Magnarelli has been an advocate for it since its inception. The assemblyman organizes the parade with local bands, and organizations to honor military members.

He says that bringing veterans to a point every year to the parade and expo is a mission he feels strongly about. Most proposals in the Assembly are in an attempt to get benefits to the veterans. The programs and services that are in place are strong, but veterans need more information on how to get those benefits. The expo is a place where those conversations can be had about informing our vets.
