SPECTRUM NEWS VIDEO: Senator James Seward is looking to improve the economy with new legislation to allow the sale of beer and hard cider ice cream. The senator believes that by bringing craft beer and cider producers, farmers, food retailers and the restaurant industry together – Upstate New York can truly meet the demand for new and innovative products. For those in Upstate New York, the senator believes there is a special connection with the legislation because dairy, food, and farming are already areas where the region excels. There will be regulations to the new law, similar to the legislation approved in 2008 that approved the sale of wine ice cream in New York.
