YORBA LINDA, Calif. — Dozens of athletes from around the world will head to Southern California for some cross-country competition.

The 2022 Virtus World Cross Country Championship events will be held Nov. 19-20 in Mission Bay in San Diego County.

Organizers say this is the first time that the U.S. competition, which will feature participants from ten countries, will include athletes with intellectual impairments, such as autism.

Tas Sebestyen, who was a member of the Yorba Linda High School cross-country team, will run in the men’s division for team USA. This competition will be his first since graduating from high school earlier this year.
