It’s been a difficult year for the motorcoach industry, but things are starting to look much better.
Officials with Onondaga Coach said they've been taking in a lot of inquiries for summer public tours for shopping, New York Yankees games and casino trips. Much of the staff, including drivers and mechanics, have been added back on.

Officials said it's nice for travelers to be able to plan summer trips again. Onondaga Coach has been adding new trips by the day, and they're also taking in quite a few requests for private tours to specific locations as well.
"This year, we're putting things on the books instead of having to take them off," said Onondaga Coach Tours Managing Director Jacqueline Frost. “So there's an awful lot of interest from folks on our area that are interested in getting out and traveling again. We're heading all over the place, back to Branson, Mo., Ohio and Cape Cod.”
As a safety precaution, Onondaga Coach does require passengers to have proof of their COVID-19 vaccination in order to travel on their buses for public tours. Last year, within the first four months of the pandemic, the company lost more than $3.5 million in revenue.
