It's typically known as one of the largest home and garden shows across the northeast. However, officials with the Central New York Home and Garden Show said the timing just wasn't right to have an in-person event just yet.
The show is virtual, and beginning Sunday, you can check out CNYHomeandGardenShow.com. That's where you'll find a layout with a few hundred local companies specializing in home improvement.
What You Need To Know
- This weekend's virtual CNY Home and Garden Show could help with home improvement projects
- The live in-person event was canceled for the second straight year due to COVID-19
- CNYHomeAndGarden.com will host the event, with live videos, Zoom chats and contests
Whether you're looking for new windows, having garage doors installed, or a new patio, you can find a local service online. Organizers said there will also be opportunities to watch live videos, do Zoom chats and register for prizes.
Sometimes looking at pictures and videos of floor plans can give you great ideas to spruce up your property.
"Outdoor living space is huge right now, because we've all been home so much. And they have a lot of cool new things. They have pizza ovens and fireplaces. The products and services have expanded exponentially in residential construction in the last 20 or 30 years," said CNY Home Builders and Remodelers Association Executive Officer Mary Thompson.
Beginning Sunday, you'll be able to find live virtual events while the contests will begin. Organizers are planning to offer the live event at the state fairgrounds next year.
