About 20,000 fans are expected to fill the St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater at Lakeview Friday evening. However, with such a large amount of people for a sold-out show, there are some stipulations.

“We will not be allowing people to bring in lawn chairs,” said Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon. “You can buy a limited number of lawn chairs here, we cut that price in half, so it will $5 per lawn chair.”

This is also the first year that the amphitheater has become a cashless venue, as well as implementing a new safety policy.

“You will not be able to come in with anything other than a clear bag," McMahon said.

McMahon said because there is going to be a high volume of traffic, you should plan out travel time.

“There will be over 18,000 people here, coming in at the same time people are leaving downtown for the weekend. This is on a Friday, so give yourself time to get here on the time frame you want," McMahon said.

McMahon said people will be able to park at the Oncenter parking lot for free and pay for a ticket through Central Bus to shuttle over to the amphitheater.

“We open up at [3 p.m.], the lot will be open. The gates will be open at 5:30 p.m. The music begins at [7 p.m.] When Morgan Wallen comes on, it’ll probably be more likely toward nine or 10," McMahon.

Because this is a sold-out show, the county executive and amphitheater officials said if you did not purchase a ticket to please not attend the event because tickets will not be available for purchase.

Officials want to remind fans to double-check their tickets, as well as downloading them at home before the concert because the amphitheater is now only mobile entry.
