A Steuben County legislator and four others have been indicted in a sex trafficking ring.

County legislator Steven Maio was arrested, along with Larry Comfort Sr., Larry Comfort Jr., Jonathan Hamilton, and Michael Stratton on warrants by New York State Police.

The indictment includes 34 counts along with multiple counts of sex trafficking, promoting prostitution, and criminal sale of a controlled substance. 

Larry Comfort Sr. is charged under each count, while his co-defendants are each charged as accomplices.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information should reach out to the Steuben County District Attorney's Office or the New York State Police.
