Troopers say a high-speed chase that started near Cortland ended in the City of Syracuse.
State police say officers attempted to pull over a Ford Explorer on Interstate 81, but the driver took off. Investigators say the suspect struck another vehicle on 81 near LaFayette, and eventually exited on Brighton Avenue. Nigel David, 28, eventually stopped at a gas station on Salina Street and ran.
State police quickly caught him. David has been charged with criminal possession of stolen property, reckless endangerment, unlawful fleeing of a police officer and other charges.
