A Lysander man accused of killing his wife has been found guilty.

Pete Trifunovski was convicted of second-degree murder in an Onondaga County court Monday.

Jurors spent all day deliberating, even coming back to the courtroom twice to ask the judge to clarify the classification of murder in the second degree.

Prosecutors said he admitted to beating his wife, Suzie, to death after an argument in January, but the defense claimed he did not mean to kill her.

When co-workers reported her missing, deputies brought in search teams.

A tip from her husband helped them find the body in a storage facility in Lysander.

He's scheduled to be sentenced in February.
