Each chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace is participating in a Bunks Across America volunteer day, making as many beds as they can for kids who don't have their own. That includes the Syracuse chapter.
“Build beds to help fight child bedlessness in America," Sleep in Heavenly Peace co-president Jon Wright said. "There’s about 210 chapters probably participating today. We’re building about 20 beds today maybe 25 depending on how things go.”
The group's Syracuse chapter is always looking for donations to buy lumber and mattresses. They're also searching for people to partner with in the Utica area to expand their reach.
