The New York State Fair may be canceled this year, but that's not stopping the cow birthing center.
The New York Animal Agriculture Coalition is on the move, no pun intended, traveling to farms across the state to highlight modern dairy farming.
The tour made its first stop at Venture Farms in Tully yesterday. They offered virtual workshops on Calf birthing, what it's like to be a dairy cow, and the technology that helps dairy farms.
Organizers say they want to bridge the gap between dairy farmers and the public.
"Now more than ever people want to connect with farmers, people want to know where their food comes from, where their delicious dairy products come from,” said Eileen Jensen, executive director for the New York animal agriculture coalition. “(We) continue to be transparent about what's happened behind the barn doors"
