"Old downtown versus new downtown and the rebirth and the revitalization,” stated Governor Andrew Cuomo on Wednesday. “It is working,"

More than 400 jobs will be available here in Syracuse. Thanks to a health care group-- and a tech group.

"That's what this is all about and that's why this is working," said Cuomo.

Bankers Healthcare Group will be moving to a newly constructed facility on Spencer Street.

"Creating jobs and creating opportunities for all central New Yorkers," said Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh.

JMA Wireless will be moving to the historic Coyne building in downtown Syracuse.

"We're seeing the power of making Syracuse one of the first cities in the nation for a build out of high speed 5g technology," said Mayor Walsh.

Local lawmakers say both investments complement "CNY Rising" which is the regional strategy to revitalize.

"More and more companies are calling central New York home. The numbers speak for themselves when you look at unemployment, private sector job creation, you look at the investment. You don't need to believe us, just look at the numbers," said Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon.

Bankers healthcare group is expected to complete its project by the end of 2023.
