It's almost time to get a taste of the Salt City.

Downtown Syracuse Dining Weeks returns next week for its 13th year with 32 restaurants are participating, including five new additions that will offer three-course meals for $25 or less. Restaurants will be adding menus to the event's website

Area hotels are also getting in on the fun this year by offering special packages.

Officials say the addition just made sense.

"Over 200,000 visitors come annually and so the ability to host those visitors and give them an excuse to go out and try a bunch of these different restaurants is something that we really look forward to," said Downtown Committee of Syracuse Executive Director Merike Treier.

"There's a lot of great dining options in Syracuse and the hotels have grown, and they want to be a part of it and what better way than to support the restaurants than to have people go to more than one restaurant while they are here," said Marriotts at Armory Square General Manager Jim Wefers.

The special room rate at the four participating hotels is $185.

The event runs from February 15-March 1.
