Actress and crime victims' advocate Theresa Saldana has died.
A long-time friend of the Brooklyn-born actress said she passed away Monday in Los Angeles after suffering from pneumonia.
Saldana starred in the 1990's TV drama "The Commish."
She also appeared in several films, including Martin Scorsese's "Raging Bull" in 1980.
Saldana survived a brutal attack by a stalker outside of her West Hollywood apartment in 1982.
She later founded a support and lobbying group called "Victims for Victims" and shared her story in a movie of the same name.
Theresa Saldana was 61 years old.
