The PGA Championship is partnering with RIT to make Oak Hill more accessible for fans.
More than two-dozen sign language interpreters will be available throughout the tournament, all the way up to the presentation of the Wanamaker Trophy to the winner next Sunday.
Interpreters will be at Oak Hill from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. starting on Wednesday. They plan to help people navigate the course and get directions for places they might want to visit.
"We're there to enjoy the golf game and the golf tournament, but we want to make sure the access is there to see the winners' commentary and we don't have to wait for it to air on television," said Mark Pfuntner, chairperson for the RIT Department of Business Studies. "We will be there live and we can celebrate live with all of the other fans."
Visitors can find interpreters by checking the leaderboards during the tournament or by using the PGA app.
