Toys for Tots is holding its annual toy collection drive. People are encouraged to donate a new unwrapped toy and place it in the nonprofit's official bins located at different retailers and businesses.

U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Pat Lurenz, the coordinator for the Capital Region, said there's a great need for toys for kids 11 and older. He recomends balls, sports equipment and baseball caps for older boys. For girls, makeup, bracelet kits and body spray is popular.
