The day of the 2024 solar eclipse is here, but the big question is - will we be able to clearly see the eclipse or not? Meteorologist Christina Reis has the latest.

Hazy sun will give way to a batch of clouds that are heading this way from Ohio today as a weakening warm front arrives this afternoon.

While that front will be pretty moisture-starved, it may be able to trigger a spotty sprinkle or two.

Either way, that front does complicate the cloud cover forecast for the eclipse viewing.

There are still some uncertainties this morning regarding the thickness of the clouds and if there will be some breaks of sunshine.

Even though the cloud cover forecast is still subject to change, one thing is for sure. This is going to be an impressive event for us as day turns to night for 3 minutes and 38 seconds.

It will be mild today with above average high teperatures near 60.

Just remember though, temperatures will briefly drop by a few degrees during totality.
