A light, fluffy snow spreads into the area this afternoon and evening with a few inches of accumulation after dinner time.

Come midnight snow will be moderate to heavy at times and lasts through the night. Several inches of snow of 1" to 3" per hour accumulates tonight through Sunday in the Albany Capital Region and North Country.

Snow along with sleet and an icy mix is likely to take place after midnight for areas to the south and east of Albany including the southern Berkshires of Mass. and the Hudson Valley, mostly south of Albany.

Snow accumulation of 14" - 20" is likely for Albany with over 20" possible for areas north of the Twin Bridges. Near to under 12" of snow is most likely to fall south and east of Albany.

Snow tapers to snow showers Sunday afternoon then Arctic cold with wind chill of -20 below zero arrives by Sunday night. Blowing and drifting snow is likely Sunday and Monday.
