A man was killed Thursday in a motorcycle crash in Albany.

Police say it happened Thursday afternoon around 5:30 p.m. on Madison Avenue between Eagle Street and South Swan Street. They say a 57-year-old man on a motorcycle was hit by a car pulling out of a parking lot, forcing the motorcycle to hit a parked CDTA bus. He reportedly suffered serious traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man's name has not been given. 

Police say that the person driving the car stopped immediately and has cooperated with the investigation. 

Madison Avenue from South Swan Street to Eagle Street will be closed until further notice.
