The Albany County Legislature just passed its budget for the upcoming year and it includes good news for taxpayers.

Property owners will see a slight decrease in their taxes next year.

The budget also allocates $15,000 to the Department of Recreation to create new opportunities for after school programs and workforce development.

In addition, $250,000 is going toward economic development as the county continues to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Finally, the budget does not make any cuts to any county services.
