SPECTRUM NEWS VIDEO: The head of Phillips Lytle's energy consulting department, Dennis Elsenbeck, was recently appointed to New York State's Climate Action Council.

The council over the next two years will create a plan to help New York reach ambitious goals set in the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act to drastically reduce emissions. Elsenbeck said his priority is not just to help the environment but to create a sustainable green economy in the state.

He said there are opportunities for the state and individuals to create jobs and make money. Elsenbeck said institutions like Buffalo's Northland Workforce Training Center could be key during a one-on-one interview with Capital Tonight's Ryan Whalen.
