COHOES, N.Y. -- Just months after a massive fire devastated a street in downtown Cohoes, one restaurant owner wants you to know they are back open for business. Spindles on Remsen Wine Bar was not severely damaged during the fire, but owner Don Russell is part of the movement to bring the neighborhood back stronger than ever.
Chef Don Russell's Cohoes restaurant Spindles on Remsen Wine Bar is cozy in size but the dishes are big in flavor. They serve tapas or small plates.
Don moved to Cohoes four years ago from Troy wanting to open a regional American cuisine restaurant with dishes inspired from his travels across the country.
He chose Remsen Street in the heart of downtown opening the first restaurant in Cohoes in 11 years.
