The Albany Community Policing Advisory Committee is hosting a virtual forum tonight with a very lofty goal.  It's being called "A Blank Sheet of Paper — Re imagining Law Enforcement in the City of Albany," and its aim is to come up with community-oriented police reforms.

The committee hopes to help unite the community and the Albany Police Department.

The group is planning on holding a number of conversations in the coming months and members will use the feedback they receive to provide recommendations to the city's Common Council.

The goal is to have concrete reforms made by April 1 as part of police-reform requirement set by Governor Andrew Cuomo.

The event starts at 7 p.m. and is accessible via the organization’s Facebook page.
