With cases of the coronavirus in Italy continuing to rise, with nearly 1,700 cases confirmed, Siena College's study abroad students are headed back home.

The college announced Sunday it would be canceling its program for the rest of the semester to bring 11 students back. The college says it does not have any students or faculty studying in China, South Korea, or Iran.

Siena College is warning its community to avoid those countries and Italy during spring break later this month, adding those returning from impacted countries will be required to provide clearance from a physician they are symptom-free.
