Rensselaer County has now served its 4 millionth meal to seniors in need.

The county program delivered its milestone meal Thursday. It's been helping seniors in this way since 1975.

Meals are delivered Monday through Friday to people older than 60 who are in need.

Maria Ostrander, 83, was the lucky recipient, with volunteers and county officials showing up to her home. Ostrander said she doesn't know what she'd do without the meals program.
