Heavy rain and wind caused trouble across the Capital Region on Wednesday night, and officials now say two EF1 tornadoes touched down in Saratoga Springs and Johnstown. Now, cleanup is underway.

One city contractor in Troy says that, right now, workers there are essentially tasked with tearing up the road.

Milling is underway ahead of Federal Street being repaved. Roads and sidewalks around Troy are cracked, with huge holes opened up in some spots. Large rocks are scattered.

Mayor Patrick Madden's office is asking for drivers to avoid Federal Street between Sixth Avenue and 15th Street right now. Crews have been on the scene since 7 a.m.

We're told this will likely be an all-day job and continue into the night.
