The New York State Police says on January 9, Samuel Groezinger, 19, of Guilderland, was arrested following a search warrant at his residence. 

The New York State Police Troop G Computer Crimes Unit received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), and State Police's investigation found Groezinger was in possession of, and promoting child pornogrpahy. 

Sheriff Apple confirmed to Spectrum News Groezinger was an EMT with the Albany County Sheriff's Office for four months, and was fired Thursday.

Groezinger was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Latham, according to State Police. He is being charged with possession of a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony, and promoting a sexual performance by a child, a class D felony.

State Police says Groezinger was arraigned at Guilderland Town Court in front of Town Justice John Bailey, and was released after posting a $30,000 bond. Groezinger is expected to return to Guilderland Town Court on January 10 at 5:30 p.m.
