More than 5,000 rolls of toilet paper and almost 3,000 paper towels, collected by First New York Federal Credit Union, were boxed up and donated to Catholic Charities. The credit union built trees out of paper goods in the main lobby of their corporate offices.

"I think toilet paper is pretty necessary [because those in need] aren't able to purchase that with food stamps, and often they don't have cash to be able to do [so]. We always need personal care items. We always need soap, shampoo, deoderant, and feminine products. We always need those things in food pantries," said Sister Betsy VanDeusen, Catholic Charities.
