Santa Claus paid a visit to Colonie Center for children and parents who appreciate a little quieter environment.

The holiday season means bright lights, holiday music and a lot of hustle and bustle — but that doesn't work for everyone.

An event in New York is catering to families whose kids have sensory needs and need a little quieter environment.

One family who traveled from the Hudson Valley up to the Albany area for the Santa Cares event spoke with Spectrum News.

"I believe that any child that has autism, any parent should come and see this display. They are here next weekend, they were absolutely phenomenal, it took us about 25 minutes to get one photo of our daughter, and they were absolutely stupendous."
